Abstract
At present, primary school students are not very interested in learning English. Some students think learning English is too difficult and not much use, except for dealing with the entrance examination. In addition, due to the traditional backward teaching concepts of some primary school English teachers, the teaching efficiency is low and the teaching quality is not high. After the students enter the middle school, they are unable to learn and the foundation is poor, thus resulting in weariness of learning. In order to change this situation and better implement the spirit of Basic requirements for English class teaching in primary school, the topic of On the importance of teaching art in primary school English classroom was proposed. This topic study from the primary school teaching present situation and problems. As the research object of each link as the teaching research, further promote the primary school English classroom teaching model of shift and innovation. It make the teachers have the basis of the basic procedures and methods in the classroom teaching. To achieve the art teaching, the teaching effect optimization, student’s interest maximization. So that it can make students like English, catch English, and improve students' application ability of using English.
