Abstract
Idioms are the essence of language, after a long period of use it is a language extracted from the length of the sentence. It is concise in form and rich in content, hosts different cultural characteristics and cultural information. Sino-British cultural differences in idioms showed great differences in culture, which is a country of geographical, religious beliefs, customs, history, culture and so on. Cultural differences in idioms is difficult in translation between English and Chinese only understand cultural similarities and differences between Chinese and English, can be successfully carried out in English and Chinese idioms and translation. Therefore, this article comparative study of English and Chinese idioms from cultural Angle, on the basis of comparing idioms cultural differences between the two countries, made some basic translation methods of English and Chinese idioms.
