Abstract
As an old saying goes, food is the paramount necessity of the people, from which we can see that food plays a very important role in people's survival and multiplication. Each place has its own way of supporting its own inhabitants. As a result, huge differences in the region, history, cultural background and so on lead to the result that there are great differences between Chinese and English dietary cultures. During the process of Chinese long history, Chinese people put much emphasis on dietary culture and an integrated system of dietary culture comes into being, which reflects rich and various Chinese cultural connotations and has far-reaching influence. On the contrary, English countries' mainstream culture is about sexual culture and they regard it as their research object. Against the background featuring globalization, it is a tendency that economic life and cultural life are seeing increasing integration in every aspect, which does well to research on cultural differences and cultural communication. Based on this phenomenon, this paper will dissect cultural differences in Chinese and English dietary cultures as a topic and come up with countermeasures so as to promote cultural communication and improvement.
