Abstract
IELTS is the International English Language Testing System of abbreviation in Chinese, is a major English exam for foreign students and immigrants. IELTS English test results recognized by the countries and regions in Europe and Australia. For people who want to study or live abroad, IELTS has a very important impact for them. Among them, listening and reading are the focus of IELTS, but because of cultural differences between East and West, they are also IELTS exam difficulty, brought great distress to candidates. Therefore, in order to improve the standard of English, passed the IELTS test, we must attach importance to understanding Western cultural background.This reading and listening in the background knowledge and in-depth analysis of the application of Chinese and Western cultures, and puts forward corresponding countermeasures.
How to deal with this seemingly no obvious actually involved in everywhere in the article the culture differences? In this paper, through the observation of the current teaching and further academic research, summarizes several in IELTS preparation may lie in Chinese and western cultural differences, improve the efficiency of IELTS preparation, achieve ideal results.
