Abstract
Since the 21st century, more and more foreign tourists have come to visit China. With the vigorous development of tourism in China , tourism plays a more important role in the development of national economy. As a special advertising text, the introduction of tourist scenic spot plays an important role in tourism promotion. There is no doubt that language plays an important role in tourism. It is powerful driving force in tourism, and it can turn an unknown place into a destination. This article is mainly a brief summary of the features of scenic spot.
The introduction text of scenic spots can be divided into two categories, one is the text that is placed in the scenic spot to explain the nature, orientation and history of the scenic spots in the form of signs, and the other is the text that is scattered in various tourist materials to describe the scenery of the scenic spot. This article will explore the language features of this two kinds of scenic spot translation. In the article, I will use a contrastive approach to explore the difference between English and Chinese Scenery description text, and analyze the underlying reasons behind the language differences, that is, the differences between English and Chinese national culture and thinking. Through the comparison, we think that the translation of Scenery description should take the reader effect as the basic starting point, take full account of the differences in expression style between English and Chinese Scenery description, and effectively achieve the purpose of communication.
