Abstract
Translation is a language-based activities between context and meaning. It especially needs translators of a wide range of cultural awareness for the conversion in the cultural context, grasping the cultural context is one of the core aspects of translation.Thus, cultural factors had varying degrees of impact on the translation of different languages.
Language is the carrier of culture, carrying a long-standing traditions, cultural customs and ideas in the history of a nation. Both English and Chinese carry a rich linguistic and cultural heritage. Only by integrating the translation with the natural culture can the true communication between nations be achieved. The concept of cultural translation is built on basis of trying to figure out the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western cultures, including different cultures, way of life, cognitive thinking and values, and noted that cultural issues should pay attention to the translation of these two languages.
