On Translation of English News Headlines
Abstract: With the development of globalization, China has more contact and cooperation with other countries all over the world. News media provides us with more chances to read international news. And the translation of English news reports helps us learn the outside world better. The translation of headlines is an essential part of translation of news. This paper introduces some basic knowledge of English news headlines including its definition and functions. Meanwhile language features are analyzed from lexical, grammatical and rhetorical levels through examples. Finally, the author puts forward principles and procedures of news headlines translation according to special features of English news headlines on different levels.

浅谈英语新闻标题的翻译
摘 要：在越来越国际化的今天，中国与世界在政治、经济、文化等各方面的交流日益增多，越来越多的人去关注国际信息。新闻媒体的发展给予我们渠道去关注国际新闻，而英语新闻报道的翻译让我们能更好地掌握国际信息。新闻标题是新闻的重要部分，做好新闻标题的翻译就极为重要。本文介绍了英语新闻标题的一些基本信息，如新闻标题的定义、功能等。同时结合实例，详细分析英语新闻标题在词汇、语法及修辞手法等层面的特点。最后作者根据英语新闻标题在不同层面的特点提出一些英语新闻标题翻译的原则以及在实际翻译过程中的翻译技巧及方法。
