摘 要
《飘》为美国作家玛格丽特·米切尔所作,这部小说自问世以来即被认为是一部彰显女性主义的经典之作。其女主人公斯嘉丽成为“新女性”的典型。本文首先综述女性主义的发展以及婚姻观的内涵,并介绍了19世纪的婚姻观和当时女性在社会中的地位;然后重点分析了斯嘉丽三次婚姻的不同本质,并就她在每一次婚姻中所体现的女性主义思想进行深入剖析,探索她如何从一个单纯的叛逆女孩变成为一个有担当、有追求、勇于接受挑战的新女性;最后归纳出斯嘉丽身上所体现出女性主义思想的先进性及对当代女性的借鉴意义。

ABSTRACT
The novel Gone With the Wind written by Margaret Mitchell is a classic in American feminine literature. The heroine Scarlett is eva luated as a representative of the New Female. The paper here briefly introduces the development of feminism and connotation of marriage, pointing out the traditional perspective of marriage in the 19th century and women’s status of that time. Then the author elaborates on the analysis of the nature of Scarlett’s three marriages to fully examine the development of Scarlett’s female consciousness in every marriage. The thesis aims to help readers understand how Scarlett grows from a simple-minded and disobedient girl to a responsible woman who is strong-willed enough to pursue her happiness and take various challenges. In the end, the author tries to explore the significance of this study on modern women in all aspects.
