摘 要
本文首先分析英语情景喜剧中幽默元素的特点以及几种常用的幽默翻译策略，然后以美国情景喜剧《生活大爆炸》作为研究对象，分析其幽默类型和特点，并节选其中有代表性的部分，结合现有的翻译版本，分析其中的幽默翻译策略,并试图总结出每种幽默最佳的翻译策略，从而使观众更好的体味和理解剧中的幽默。

ABSTRACT
This paper first explores humorous effects in English sitcoms and some widely adopted humor translation strategies. It then defines each category of humor and its characteristics in an American sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Some representative episodes are also chosen as examples. With current available translation as reference, it analyzes the translation strategies and tries to conclude the best one regarding each category of humor, thus making it easier for target audience to better appreciate and understand humor in sitcoms.
