HARPER LEE’S WRITING CHARACTERISTICES
IN TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD
摘 要
《杀死一直知更鸟》是美国南方女作家哈帕·李唯一成功的一部小说。该小说成功地展现了作者丰富多彩的生活背景。小说作者运用了一系列写作手法来使小说内容和主题更加鲜活。本文试图比照作者的生活经历和作品的时代背景，并与其他运用类似写作手法的作品做比较，进而了解小说主要的创作特色—儿童视角、第一人称叙事和环形结构。笔者认为对小说创作特色的学习能有效地帮助读者更好的了解作品并在以后自身的创作中学习如何有效地运用这些写作手法。

ABSTRACT
To Kill a Mockingbird is the only successful novel of Harper Lee. The novel has manifested her rich and colorful life. The author uses many writing characteristics to enrich the content and theme of the novel. This paper attempts to connect with the author’s living experiences and the background and compares with other works which have the same characteristics to analyze the main writing characteristics in the novel-- children’s point of view, first person narrative and circular structure. The study of the writing characteristics in To Kill a Mockingbird can help readers to understand the work better and learn how to use these characteristics in the feature creation.
