Abstract
In the 20th century, the famous American realist Fitzgerald created a world-famous work, The Great Gatsby. The work reveals the true social reality of the United States at that time. The United States in the 1920s has various kinds of Distinctive branding: Prohibition, Lost Generation, Hemingway, movies, jazz, prosperity of mass consumption, emerging female white-collar workers, the rise of black culture, the symbol of modern life such as cars, telephones, etc. A subversive change in lifestyle has come. This thesis will study the society and culture of the United States in the 1920s after World War I through "The Great Gatsby" and summarize some of the revelations that the world can get from that impetuous "Jazz Age."
