Abstract
With the deepening of reform and opening up and the development of society, the communication between China and the West is becoming more and more extensive, and the daily intercultural communication is becoming more and more important. Starting from the cultural differences between Chinese and Western daily communication, this paper studies English and Chinese from the perspective of daily communication. It describes differences between the two countries in terms of address, greeting, farewell, compliments and taboos. It is believed that the differences in daily communication between China and the West are mainly caused by the differences in regional culture and religious beliefs between the two nationalities. By comparing the differences between Chinese and Western daily communication in cross-cultural communication, we can help scholars reduce the probability of making mistakes in cross-cultural communication.It helps to communicate well and effectively.
