Abstract
Pride and prejudice published in 1813, is a famous novel written by Jan Austen, a British woman writer.It is a life of great vitality. Different times, different countries, because of cultural customs, values of differences in the standard of happy marriage, each has a different focus. Austen set the story in the first decade of the nineteenth century.At that time,marriage was the only way for women to gain social status and recognition. Through the description of the four different kinds of marriage, the novel explains the ideal marriage concept in their own eyes, that is, a happy marriage must be based on true love and need some money as a guarantee. This not only reveals the marriage values of British society at that time, but also urges readers to think about the composition of perfect marriage.
