Abstract
William Shakespeare is the greatest playwright and poet in European Renaissance in UK, excellent representative of humanistic thought, the founders of the European literature. He is recognized as the top of the English Renaissance, is one of the greatest writers all over the world. In his works, one of the four great tragedies "Hamlet" is recognized to be the peak of his work. Shakespeare used his unique writing style, creating a character. One of the most famous is the Danish prince Hamlet, as long as this article is about the analysis of Hamlet character. "Hamlet" is on behalf of Shakespeare’s drama, written in 1601. Hamlet is the typical image which reflects the author's humanist ideal. The play described the irreconcilable contradictions between himself and the reality, and his hesitation, sad depression and sad ending a defeat in the process of revenge, profoundly reflects the desire of humanists require to shake off the yoke of the feudal forces, but also reveals the limitations of the early British bourgeoisie. And it is the conflict of Hamlet irreconcilable humanism ideal and the reality led to his tragic life. Analyze his character through exploring the emotional aspects, in order to understand the literary value of "Hamlet" and understand the background of the society at that time, and so on.
