The thesis reveals that no matter how hard the external environment is, we must always be like Santiago and never give up and never give up.
The Old Man and the Sea is Hemingway's famous novel. Hemingway continued to create the image of Santiago with the theme of tough men. In the face of challenges and difficulties, he fought alone; in the face of certain failures, he showed a very strong determination and perseverance; in the face of pressure, he can still live life calmly. The portrayal of the old fisherman reflects the most admired qualities and values of Hemingway: courage, dignity, patience. But there are also some inevitable tragic meaning and the enlightenment from tragedy.
